Dr. Korboi Evans is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in joint replacement and joint preservation surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder. In addition to joint reconstruction, he is also experienced in Sports Medicine and arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder and knee with a focus on restoring function and mobility to the injured athlete.

A graduate of the University of Akron, Dr. Evans earned joint M.D./M.S. degrees from Case Western Reserve University. He began his medical career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, training at the renowned Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He went on to complete advanced fellowship training in joint replacement surgery at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics, equipping him to manage the full spectrum of joint conditions with evidence-based, patient-centered care.

He served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications focused on combat-related musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic trauma. Dr. Evans is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

With deep experience in both civilian and military healthcare systems, Dr. Evans deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where he served as the commander of a Forward Surgical Team and a Combat Support Hospital. For his leadership and exemplary service in a combat zone, he was awarded the prestigious Bronze Star. At Walter Reed, he played a vital role in the care of wounded warriors returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, an experience that profoundly shaped his dedication to comprehensive, compassionate care. Today, he remains an active advocate for veterans, military families and underserved populations, continuing his lifelong commitment to service.
