Class Format
Fathers in Touch is a 12-week fatherhood initiative program that uses the 24/7 Dad Curriculum. The classes meet once a week and participants attend one planned fatherhood initiative program activity each month. The program includes the following topics:
- Impact of Family History
- What It Means to Be a Man
- Discipline
- Communication
- Working with Your Children’s Mom and Co-Parenting
- Showing and Handling Feelings
- Child Support Enforcement (Guest Presentation)
- Domestic Violence (Guest Presentation)
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health (Guest Presentation)
- 3 Free Community-Based Activities for the fatherhood initiative program (1 activity per month). Children and family are encouraged to participate. Activities may include a trip to the zoo, cook-outs, museums, library, fishing, and community service projects. Community-Based Activities are dependent of COVID-19 safety guidelines and policies.
